Alexander Shulan is a New York–based art dealer, curator, and writer.

In 2015, he founded LOMEX, a contemporary art gallery with two spaces in New York and an outpost in Las Vegas. Over the past decade, Shulan and LOMEX have helped develop the careers of a new generation of New York artists, while introducing historically influential artists such as Yoshitaka Amano and H. R. Giger to wide new audiences.

Before founding LOMEX, Shulan received his A.B. in Philosophy and Literature at the University of Chicago and pursued a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the Graduate Center in New York. His writing and criticism have appeared in a range of publications, including Art in America, Kaleidoscope Magazine (where he formerly served as an editor), and The Brooklyn Rail.
